Planning a milestone birthday can be a bit like juggling flaming torches—exciting but nerve-wracking! Carol found herself in just that spot when she decided to throw a huge bash for her mum, Jessie, who was celebrating an incredible 95 years of life.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Carol reached out to us after a friend recommended our services, and she was quickly put at ease by our catering manager, Jordan.
From the get-go, Jordan was all ears, really listening to Carol’s needs and vision for the day. After chatting through the options, he suggested our Gourmet BBQ Menu, and it turned out to be a match made in heaven! The menu ticked all the boxes: it offered a tempting variety of foods to satisfy every guest, was friendly on the budget, and offered that relaxed vibe that was ideal for a mingling crowd.
Fast forward to the party day, and Hog Roast Crofton turned up at the hotel function room ready to make magic happen. Making catering for 200 guests look like a walk in the park, our team rustled up a BBQ spread like you’ve never seen!
The sizzling sounds and drool-worthy smells filled the air as Hog Roast Crofton cooked up a feast of handmade British beef burgers, succulent chicken kebabs, gourmet sausages, BBQ spareribs, veggie burgers, and grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs. There was something for everyone, and every bite was packed with flavour.
To top it off, we added a side of freshly made chips, zingy pasta salad, and homemade coleslaw that had everyone coming back for extra helpings until our serving dishes were picked clean. The atmosphere was electric—guests were dancing, laughing, and most importantly, indulging in some seriously delicious food.
But the best part? Seeing Jessie’s face light up as she soaked in all the love and attention. She absolutely loved being the star of the show, and Carol was over the moon with how smoothly everything went thanks to Hog Roast Crofton.
