With the summer sun blazing and the long, hazy days stretching into the late evening, there’s no better time to celebrate life’s special moments outdoors. And last weekend, Hog Roast Ireby had the absolute pleasure of helping Ainsley mark her milestone birthday in serious style!
Turning 16 is a big deal, and Ainsley – alongside her party-planning powerhouse of a mum, Annemarie – made sure it was a night to remember. Their back garden underwent a magical makeover, complete with tipi tents brimming with plush pillows, thick blankets, and twinkling string lights. The pièce de résistance? A giant projector screen that turned the backyard into an enchanting open-air cinema for thirty of Ainsley’s closest friends.
But what’s a movie night without the ultimate comfort food? That’s where we came in! Hog Roast Ireby was honoured to serve up our crowd-favourite BBQ spread – and trust us, it was a hit.
Our catering manager brought the heat (literally and figuratively) with a sizzling buffet of handmade British beef burgers, gourmet sausages, chicken kebabs, and melt-in-your-mouth marinated spareribs. For our veggie and vegan guests, the menu was equally tempting, with meat-free sausages and grilled veggie and halloumi kebabs with flatbreads, and all the tasty trimmings like tzatziki and chilli sauce.
And it didn’t stop there! The side dishes were a feast all on their own – Hog Roast Ireby’s homemade pasta salad bursting with fresh roasted veg, zesty Greek salad, and a mix of sweet potato and classic fries kept everyone coming back for more.
To round off the night, Annemarie wowed the guests with a dreamy grazing table loaded with sweet treats and DIY popcorn pick ‘n mix – because no movie night is complete without snacks on snacks!
We were overjoyed to be part of Ainsley’s unforgettable Sweet 16 and even more thrilled that both she and Annemarie were beyond happy with the service and food our team provided. Here’s to more magical summer nights, full plates, and memories made under the stars!
