It’s no secret that we’ve been rushed off our feet with weddings lately. I mean, it is wedding season, after all! From micro celebrations to lavish do’s with hundreds of guests, our diary has been so packed full of these events we’ve barely had a moment to stop and think. But honestly? We wouldn’t change it for the world!
I know, I know – most people hate being swamped at work. But not us. And we’re not going to lie to you, it has been stressful. Touted as the happiest day of a couple’s life, weddings are arguably the most important events we cater for, so getting them right is a non-negotiable. But oh boy, is it worth it!
At Hog Roast Yewdale, we take our role seriously and pour every fiber of our being into pulling off a food service that we’re proud of. Because if we wouldn’t be proud to receive it ourselves, we would never expect our clients to be.
We recently showed off our skills at Alana and Mitch’s festival-themed wedding on Saturday. With 150 guests, a huge sun-soaked field in the Carlisle countryside and a cluster of stretched tipi tents for some much-needed shade, this celebration had the foundations of a legendary event. The couple had even roped in a few friends to perform live music, a DJ for later in the evening, and a crystal face art stall for guests to get a festival-style makeover.
There was so much going on at this wedding it was impossible for the guests to get bored. But with all those activities and plenty of excuses to dance, food played a vital role in the festivities.
Keeping everyone fuelled and energised was Hog Roast Yewdale’s BBQ menu. Offering everything from handmade beef burgers (the kind with melting cheese, fried onions, and a deliciously juicy bite) and succulent sausages to Thai kebabs and vegan jackfruit sliders, we made sure every guest had something tasty to sink their teeth into. We also made a lasting impression with the sides, serving beautifully presented salads, coleslaw and freshly prepared mixed fries on the side for guests to help themselves to.
Alana and Mitch couldn’t have been happier with the spread – it fit right in with their theme, and had all of their guests reaching for seconds!
If you’ve got a wedding coming up and you need help with the food, turn to Hog Roast Yewdale. We’re number one for a reason and would love nothing more than to help you elevate your big day.
