Hayley has been a manager at her local garden centre since she first moved to the area over fifteen years ago. Since then, she has made great improvements to the garden centre, made friends with lots of customers, and found a wonderful team of colleagues. Her retirement this autumn will be a very bittersweet occasion since she will be leaving a job that has had such an impact on her life. Currently, her colleagues are organising the perfect retirement party for Hayley, complete with all of her friends, family, and valued customers. Additionally, Hog Roast Thurstonfield has been hired to cater for the occasion with one of our delicious buffet menus. Our catering manager Jordan will be serving our classic slow-roast menu, which is sure to be a great addition to the event.
In preparation for the party, Jordan and the Hog Roast Thurstonfield team will arrive at the garden centre in the morning to prepare for the midday serving time. We will start by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. The rolls will be accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, halloumi and vegetable skewers, and a green leaf salad, creating a varied and delicious buffet lunch! Our team is looking forward to catering for this occasion since we know our menu will go down a treat.
