Organising a surprise party for a loved one’s milestone birthday is an incredibly rewarding experience. And for Paula, planning a surprise bash seemed like the perfect way to spoil her mum, Jean, and make her 60th b-day one to remember.

On the day of the party, we treated her guests to our signature pulled pork rolls with crisp and salty crackling, sage and onion stuffing and applesauce, with a variety of sides, including gourmet coleslaw, salads and mixed sweet potato and regular fries.
Paula’s mum had no idea what was in store for her when she arrived at her daughter’s home on the day of the event. As soon as she arrived, she was greeted by balloons, streamers and a sea of her closest family and friends, all of whom were there to wish her a happy 60th birthday.
After the initial shock wore off, Hog Roast Irthington’s catering manager, John, served the birthday girl a generous plate of delicious food before opening up the buffet to the rest of the guests. Everyone was so impressed by the food and the attentive service from our team, and they complimented us on the great taste and presentation of the food, which certainly added to the atmosphere.
Paula, in particular, was delighted with the outcome of the event and couldn’t have hoped for a better day.
