As usual, October has been an incredibly busy month for our Hog Roast Todhills team so far – what with all the Halloween celebrations we’ve been hired to help out with! But amidst all of the fancy dress events, scare trails, pumpkin picking, festivals and fright nights, we’ve had time to squeeze in some non-Halloween-related events too! Most notably, we had the pleasure of assisting Lexi and Gareth with their wedding celebrations on Friday.
From the early days of their relationship, this loved-up pair had known that they were destined to be together forever, and they had often talked about what their wedding would be like. So, when Gareth popped the question and made their engagement official earlier this year, the pair dove straight into the wedding planning rabbit hole!
One of the things they had immediately agreed on was that they wanted an autumnal wedding, so they set out to find an available venue for their chosen time of year. Fortunately, they managed to find a suitable space to tie the knot without too much trouble. A tranquil log cabin, which boasted stunning views of the Cumbrian countryside, made the perfect spot for their nuptials.
Lexi and Gareth were also keen to find a catering service to complement their rustic theme, which brought them directly to Hog Roast Todhills. Our catering manager, John, was delighted to be of service and happily helped the couple find the perfect menu for their event.
The menu they eventually selected was, of course, our Southern Slow Roast spread, which covered all of the couple’s requirements. With three tantalising meat options, consisting of BBQ pork butt, sticky pork ribs and Cajun-spiced chicken, plus a veggie/vegan dish, lots of sides to choose from and an array of accompaniments, this epic feast couldn’t have been more fitting for the occasion.
And not only were Lexi and Gareth blown away by the affordable price tag and mouth-watering grub, but they were extremely glad to discover that Hog Roast Todhills offered to include a wedding cake service, which everyone agreed brought the meal to a perfect close.
