Hog Roast Dalston Steals the Show at Whisky Festival with Mouthwatering Pulled Pork Sandwiches!

Hog Roast DalstonWhisky lovers, rejoice! With over 9 million drinkers across the UK, whisky has never been more popular than it is today. And with this rise in popularity comes a boom in whisky festivals, celebrating this iconic spirit in style. Just last weekend, Hog Roast Dalston was fortunate enough to attend one of these events, and we had a ball! This festival was every whisky enthusiast’s dream, showcasing a fantastic selection of spirits from all over the UK. There were both leading brands and up-and-coming distillers, giving attendees the chance to sample a variety of flavours and styles. With over 100 exhibitors, plus live entertainment from local musicians, whisky talks, and free tastings, there was certainly no shortage of things to do. It was incredible to see whisky lovers from all around the world coming together to celebrate their shared passion for this legendary spirit.

While the whiskies were undoubtedly the highlight of the event, Hog Roast Dalston wasn’t far behind! The smell of our slow-cooked pig was enough to draw in a crowd, and we couldn’t have been happier to serve up our signature, flavourful hog roast to festival-goers. We kept things simple yet irresistible, serving fork-tender pulled pork on gluten-free or wholemeal cobs, topped with sage and onion stuffing, sweet applesauce and the crispiest crackling you can imagine. For those seeking a plant-based alternative, we also offered BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls with plant-based slaw—perfect for vegan festival-goers.

What made our hog roast such a hit was how easy it was to eat on the go. The festival-goers didn’t have to miss out on any of the fun while grabbing a bite to eat, and with the delicious combination of flavours, it was the perfect snack to fuel their whisky-filled adventure.

Hog Roast DalstonHog Roast Dalston had such a fantastic time catering at this event.
