With December 18th celebrated as National Hog Roast Day, what better excuse (not that you need one!) to gather friends, family, or colleagues and indulge in the unmatched delight of spit-roasted pork?

Marking the occasion this year, we had the pleasure of helping Jim, a fellow foodie and master host, turn his National Hog Roast Day celebration into a feast his guests wouldn’t forget. Jim, a true connoisseur of all things culinary, is known for pulling out all the stops when it comes to entertaining. He’s the kind of person who lives for National Food Days, and when it came to this one, he knew only the Hog Roast Brampton team could deliver the show-stopping spread he had in mind. Naturally, we were delighted to help out!

Our catering manager, Jordan, took charge of the preparations, devoting Wednesday afternoon to crafting a hog roast banquet worthy of the occasion. The process began with the star of the show: the hog. Jordan expertly secured it in our trusty HogMaster machine, scoring the skin with precision and rubbing it down with salt and water—a tried-and-true trick for achieving that irresistible, golden crackling (our little secret, okay?). With the pig roasting to perfection, Jordan turned his attention to the sides.

As Jordan carved the hog and served the tender, juicy pork on fresh buns, paired with the delectable sides, the verdict was unanimous: rave reviews from a crowd thoroughly impressed by the flavours and presentation.
