It’s official: the festive season has arrived at Hog Roast Dalston, and we’re diving headfirst into a December packed with celebrations, feasting, and all-around holiday cheer. One event we’re particularly buzzing about? Our Boxing Day tradition with Cheryl, one of our most loyal and lovely clients.
For the past seven years, Cheryl has invited us to cater her epic family Boxing Day feast. Every year, she invites her growing family over to her spacious home, and instead of stressing over feeding the crowd, she calls us in to do what we do best. It’s a tradition we absolutely love being part of! And this year, Cheryl’s guest list has grown to 60 people—10 more than last year!
Naturally, we’re ready to deliver an incredible feast that’s bound to wow. Cheryl has once again requested our legendary hog roast, which was the undeniable star of last year’s party. Imagine juicy, tender pork with crispy crackling, served with sage and onion stuffing, applesauce, and a whole lot of festive flair.
Of course, the feast doesn’t stop there. Hog Roast Dalston will be serving all the traditional Christmas accompaniments, from creamy cauliflower cheese and perfectly crispy roast potatoes to those irresistible pigs in blankets and glazed seasonal vegetables drizzled with homemade gravy. It’s a meal that promises comfort, indulgence, and plenty of second helpings.
For Cheryl’s vegan and vegetarian guests, we’re bringing something equally mouthwatering to the table: BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns topped with crunchy, plant-based slaw. It’s a dish so full of flavour and texture that it’s sure to impress everyone, regardless of dietary preferences.
And what would Boxing Day be without dessert? Warm mince pies topped with rich brandy cream will be the perfect sweet ending to the meal, paired with steaming cups of our signature mulled wine to keep the festive spirit alive.
