One of the best things about our signature hog roast dish here at Hog Roast Tarraby is just how versatile it can be. From one whole roasted pig you can get the meat for a variety of dishes, and it really all just comes down how you prep and then slice it. For example, for a traditional roast with all the usual trimmings our chefs will finely slice your pork to make it perfect for soaking up all the gravy and homemade sauce alongside your roast potatoes and veg. Other dishes require a fine shredding instead; our pulled pork is perfect to go on a roll or wrap, and with one whole hog roast you can get whole trays worth of pulled pork ready to go.
Since we know just how good our shredded pork is, this past week the Hog Roast Tarraby team thought we’d take our services out on the Tarraby and offer passers by options of hot rolls and wraps with their choice of our pulled pork or our BBQ pulled jackfruit alternative. This isn’t the type of service we usually do as most of our work revolves around private events or corporate functions, but we thought it would be well worth trying out to get our name out there some more and show the kind folk of Tarraby what they could be enjoying at their events with Hog Roast Tarraby.
The response was excellent, and our team had a brilliant time out meeting so many people from Tarraby. Many were amazed to find that our pork rolls were actually being made fresh from a whole hog roast which we had with us, thanks to the brilliance of our mobile roasting units. That allowed each roll to come fresh and hot straight from the pig to the roll – you can’t get better than that! The customers that came by enjoyed our rolls so much in fact that many of them vowed to look for Hog Roast Tarraby in the future whenever they next have an event in need of catering! That’s a good day out on the town by our books.
