After working all year we all finally get to enjoy those couple weeks at the end of December where time just sort of starts to disappear (particularly in that weird week between Christmas and New Year). No doubt you’ll already be looking forward to wrapping up for the year in the next few days if you haven’t already.
At Hog Roast Askerton we work right up close until Christmas just to ensure we can fit in as many Christmas events as possible for our festive catering, and we’re back pretty soon after too for those New Year events. That means our teams have still been out hard at work this week, and a lot of our time has been spent with other office teams helping them to celebrate the beginning of their holidays.
There is of course the traditional staff night out that just about all of us enjoy in December and possibly even January depending on when you could get bookings (believe us, as a caterer we know how long the stretch for staff bookings can go even into the new year). But for one of our usual corporate partners this week the management staff also wanted a relaxed final day to celebrate a well-earned year with all of the staff in the office. That meant they came to their trusted catering partner in Hog Roast Askerton to request an office visit with a festive flavouring. We were of course only all too happy to acquiesce.
The office team were wrapping up their work around lunchtime meaning our Hog Roast Askerton chefs were out on site early in the day to get everything prepped for their final special lunch together. We brought along our festive menu with both a turkey roast and a hog roast to ensure there was plenty of food for the office of 60+ employees. Come lunchtime we were ready to go with a brilliant festive buffet which the office team happily came to again and again in-between cups of mulled wine and Christmas songs. It was an excellent way to close out the year and send everyone out into their holidays feeling relaxed and festive!
