Even the best laid plans need an alternative, and sometimes quickly, which is why we at Hog Roast Glasson are always quick to adapt to whatever an event throws our way. As an example of which, we had a customer just this past week who had organised a wonderful looking outdoor barbecue with us. Plans had originally been made during the heatwave a few weeks back, so of course we might have all been thinking that the British summer was here to stay and that outdoor barbecues would just be the norm for just about every event. But of course the rainy skies have returned recently, and though as this event approached we all hoped for the best it looked more and more like we were going to have to pivot from an outdoor service to indoor.
As the day came the morning saw bright skies, however, and so we thought we might just get lucky and be able to conduct our service as planned. Our Hog Roast Glasson chefs always show up early to an event site so that we can start prepping our serving areas and get everything cooking so that it has ample time to roast to our usual perfect standards. Even in this time things were looking good for an excellent afternoon of outdoor dining, and as guests arrived and the event began we were able to at least get our service underway as planned.
However as the skies began to darken our chefs made the quick call to start opening up our marquee coverings in case the worst was to come. This allowed guests to stay outside for as long as possible until the weather took such a turn that we then all headed indoors. That wasn’t a problem in terms of Hog Roast Glasson’s service, however, as we had already planned for such an event and moved seamlessly into our alternative service style to match the new circumstances. The event could continue just as smoothly as before, and no foods were ruined in the process! Just one of the many perks you get with working with an experienced and skilled catering business like Hog Roast Glasson!
