Among all the festive-themed bookings, Hog Roast Mossband has had plenty of winter weddings to keep us occupied this month! Helping Carlisle’s brides and grooms tie the knot in style, our devoted catering crew has served some magnificent meal plans lately, which we’re positive will be remembered for years to come!
The most recent wedding we handled was that of Lawrence and Hannah, whose big day saw more than 200 guests come together on Saturday. Coming from as far as the United States, Canada and Australia, many of the guests travelled hundreds of thousands of miles to be there for Lawrence and Hannah’s biggest day. So the pair had agreed that providing a stunning meal was the least they could do to show their gratitude!
The responsibility of providing this incredible feast was left to the Hog Roast Mossband gang, who spent all morning and much of the afternoon preparing our Formal Wedding Catering With Evening Buffet Menu in all its wondrous glory! Featuring a drinks service and five delightful canapé choices, followed by a three-course meal, cake service and an evening buffet to finish, this is easily the most luxurious meal plan we have on offer.
Immediately after the ceremony, Hog Roast Mossband served glasses of champagne, fresh fruit juice and white wine to the celebrating guests, along with a platter of homemade appetisers. This gorgeous entrée was closely followed by a steaming hot bowl of homemade soup, which was perfect for warming the guests up on what was a bitterly cold day.
While the guests enjoyed the soup, our catering manager, John, carved up the hog roast and turkey mains, and after placing the meat in chafing dishes to keep it piping hot, he quickly chargrilled the veggie kebabs for the vegan guests before arranging the salad, potato and coleslaw sides on the buffet table, alongside a basket of gluten-free rolls and wraps.
The guests’ faces lit up when they laid eyes on Hog Roast Mossband’s vast selection of tasty dishes, and they wasted no time in getting stuck in! Exceeding all expectations, our food was not only beautiful to look at but the flavours were fresh and impossible to resist.
The main meal ended with some gorgeous dessert choices, and later in the evening, Hog Roast Mossband delighted the guests once again by serving hot bacon and sausage barms, tea and coffee and slices of wedding cake.
