Liz and her fiancé got engaged before the COVID-19 pandemic and had to postpone their wedding due to restrictions and family illness. While the restriction has been lifted for a while, they have not been able to reschedule their wedding until this winter. While this was not the wedding that either of them first planned on, they are determined to host a beautiful and joyful celebration of their love, surrounded by friends and family. For the wedding catering, the couple wanted a classic main meal, followed by an elegant dessert course. The main meal needed to be warming and hearty, with enough to keep their 80 guests going through the evening’s entertainment. Luckily, Hog Roast Todhills has just the right menu!
In preparation for this event, we planned to provide a classic hog for the main course, accompanied by all of the trimmings. The menu will include roasted potatoes, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, seasonal vegetables, and fresh gravy, creating a delicious and varied main meal. This is a classic meal and one that always goes down well at weddings, so we have no doubt that this will be well received by the guests.
Following the main course, we will then serve a selection of desserts, including profiteroles, cheesecake, and sticky toffee pudding. These dishes will each be served with English cream and fresh berries to ensure that they look as good as they taste!
